"Everyone Looks So Good From Here"

“Everyone Looks So Good From Here”

Everyone Looks so Good
Their faces smile

I enjoyed the conversation
With all of your friends

It was a nice meal
Lets go for a walk

Everyone looks so good
…from here

Their faces smile
…their eyes frowning

I enjoyed the conversation
…couldn’t hear the sad emotion

With all of your friends
…How can you be so lonely?

It was a nice meal
…why are you still hungry?

Lets go for a walk
…you fight being known

Everyone looks so good
…from here

Their faces smile
(too far to see)
…their eyes frowning

I enjoyed the conversation
(with the distance)
…couldn’t hear the sad emotion

With all of your friends
(avoid getting to know)
…How can you be so lonely?

It was a nice meal
(didn’t talk deeply)
…why are you still hungry?

Lets go for a walk
(in a hurry to go)
…you fight being known

This poem is basically about how we go through our lives, knowing people, and having friends, but never truly caring about them, or trying to get involved in their personal lives physically or spiritually. While some go through life with many friends, they don't have anyone who really cares about them. And while you go through life you don't truly put an effort into loving someone. You know who they are but do you know them. You keep a distance in the relationship to not get truly involved leaving them empty, from relationships.
