A Day with Dave

Photo by David: Dale Nolan - Kickflip

David was able to come out for the day. We went to K-Zoo Skate Zoo in the morning for about 3 hours. We had fun joking around with the other kids and skating with them. Just one thing that really bugs me about the skateboard world today, is all the head phones people  have shoved in their ears. Skateboarding is about a community, of people, building new friendships and having fun skating. You try to talk to them anyway but they never hear you, while tuned into their music. Also skating isn't about being good, it's about having fun and being creative. It really frustrates me when there is a kid who is good, that is trying to make sure everyone sees, so much so he thinks he is the king of the park giving him full freedom to cut in front of people, and zig zag where ever he pleases. Stay true to Skateboarding! Other then that we had a great time skating. It was so unbelievable humid, I have never been so wet from sweating. We enjoyed cooling off, swimming in the pool afterwards. It was funny, some kid today asked me if we were taking photos for a sponsorship. I replayed "No, I am taking photos for fun."
