Easter weekend we got an extra day for the weekend, so no classes on friday like usual. Owen, Kyle P., Jessica P., Kylie L., Andrew N., Carol H., Eric Messer (DC), Karalee Grey (Ministry Coordinator), and Brent W. all went for a camping trip. We decided to camp on Pharaoh Lake, and planned to hike the Pharaoh Mountain to watch the sunset with a hike back under the full moon, in the dark.
We ran into a few WOLBI students while preparing for the camping trip buying a few food items to attract animals for us to kill for food.
We arrived at our starting destination at about 1:00 pm

There was a section where we had to cross planks to get across this river/swamp area. Except the planks had been moved preventing us from crossing.
Luckily Owen and Eric came to the rescue and moved the missing planks back into place.
We came across a nice little water fall/ dam thingy. It wasn't long before Owen and Eric jumped into the water again.
Karalee found a nice little snake on the path and decided to eat it...not really but that would have been awesome.
This is our sleeping quarters. All the guys slept here, the girls slept about a half mile away in a little smaller one. Ours was huge. We had lake front property with a beautiful view.
Time for a little dinner. Owen made a 3 course meal, he had pork chops, onion and mushroom stuff, and then had some corn (that didn't turn out so right). I had a can of baked beans and left overs from everyone else.
After dinner we headed out for our hike up Pharaoh to watch the sunset.
As we climbed higher we began to come upon more and more snow and bigger and bigger puddles of water.
This is the beautiful view from the top, over looking Shcroon Lake. We missed the sunset and were very worn out when we got to the top. The stars looked amazing, the sky was so clear.

On our hike back down the Pharaoh it was very dark and hard to see, most of everyone had a flash light. We thought the full moon was going to help light the way, but the moon decided not to show up tonight. Kylie was with me for most of the hike back, she fell a lot and got a little scrapped up, but she endured.
I woke up early Saturday morning to some animals scratching around the walls and the roof. It turned out to just be a couple girls anxious for the voyage home and breakfast.

How many people can you spot in this photo?
Did you guess 3?
We had breakfast in bed. We ate the whole box of cereal between the 3 of us, I fed Owen laying in the middle, I dropped cereal in his eye a few times by accident.
(All the photos above this starting with the girls on the roof was taken by Andrew Nippert)

Morning Time in Prayer and Devotion reading God's Word with the beautiful view around us.
Together we looked a few passages speaking of God's creation, to meditate on God threw what was around us.
Packing up for our exit out of the wilderness. I don't know how many times Eric said "It can't get any better then this". The day was perfect both days were about 60-70 degrees with bright sunshine.
Kyle and I got into a little tussle over some food. Out in the wilderness this stuff is very important to us. You have to fight for everything to survive.

On our way back all of the guys... most of the guys went for a swim in a little river. (where the planks where misplaced the last time.)

The water was very cold. Every time you jumped in it felt colder then the time before.
